The coffee assistant who said he did not understand what the man was saying is bluffing, in my opinion. How can he not know what "please" is? True, he may not have met many polite customers but he is not that stupid right? Being taken aback by such courtesy is no excuse for showing such rudeness as well. It was injected with sarcasm as well. What a jerk!
His rudeness was further seen when he scolded a customer who tried to stand up for the polite man. So what if this took place in a coffeeshop? Does that mean that a cheap place cannot contain good manners? Who set this rule? The coffee assistant?
